Loreal Jiles, VP, Research and Thought Leadership | IMA | Institute of Management Accountants

Loreal Jiles is Vice President of Research and Thought Leadership for IMA. In this role, Loreal advances the management accounting profession through robust research initiatives that deliver actionable insights to accountants and financial professionals in business. She also contributes to the preparedness of the future leaders of the profession by strengthening the global academic offering of collegiate accounting programs through collaborative research projects, accounting curricula advisement, and oversight of the IMA Higher Education Endorsement Program.

Loreal joined IMA as Director of Research, Digital Technology and Finance Transformation following nearly 15 years in the energy industry in a host of roles covering accounting, digital technology, financial reporting, change management, auditing, and planning & performance management, including leading a Robotic Process Automation implementation in a finance organization.

Loreal is a former IMA Global Board Director and has authored dozens of articles and research reports across global media outlets, including “Diversifying U.S. Accounting Talent” and two IMA Statements on Management Accounting titled “Transforming the Finance Function with RPA” and “An Agile Approach to Finance Transformation.” Loreal holds a B.S. in accounting from Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. and MBA from Tulane University.

I am a Managing Director and Senior Partner in Accenture Strategy and hold global leadership roles in the firm's CFO&EV, Competitive Agility, and ZBX practices. I lead Accenture's CFO of the Future Summit, in partnership with Harvard University.

I focus on working with the management teams and the boards of directors of publicly traded and privately held companies to create enterprise value at the intersection of growth strategies, operating model transformation, and employee experience.

I have on-the-ground international experience in Afghanistan, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

I have authored a number of points of views and articles on digital value, operating model, and finance-related topics.
