I am an accomplished Executive with over 20 years professional working experience. I have a strong track record of in delivery & strategy execution spanning across Consulting, Finance, Project Management and Business Leadership.

I am in my 8th year as the Head of Strategic Projects for Nedbank Insurance, the largest division of the Nedbank Wealth cluster. In this role I have been entrusted to lead the transformation of Nedbank Insurance across multiple fronts – such as launching new products (non-life & life) to meet Nedbank Client’s needs, supporting the digital strategy on key products, enhancing client experiences, and lastly creating a centre of excellence to spearhead new ways of work through Agile. Of everything accomplished whilst at Nedbank Insurance my proudest achievement is leading the birth of MyCover, a Personal Lines business and being entrusted to be the accountable executive working across multiple teams within the existing management structure. This effectively moved Nedbank Insurance from relying on partnerships to having an in-house solution. Another highlight was being entrusted to manage the Client Solutions team for a period of 15 months, managing the actuarial resources in driving product design, pricing, product performance & rationalization.

Before joining Nedbank Insurance, I was Executive Assistant to the Wealth Cluster Group Managing Executive. During this time Nedbank invested heavily in me to be able to connect across multiple disciplines, functions, and Executives across the bank. This allowed me to learn ‘fast’ & contribute to supporting the Group Exec’s office on various key strategic and operational matters.

Prior to my Nedbank experience, I was Head of Finance for a stockbroking business with 8 subsidiaries across the African continent, managing the department across multiple jurisdictions, currencies and regulators. During this time my two highlights were freeing up time for the CEO & Ops heads to focus on Africa expansion and implementing early-stage automation of finance processes moving us from always being last to the first division in reporting (under 2 year tenure).

Academically, I complimented my CA(SA) with an MBA from Warwick Business School (UK). My highlight contribution to the short-term Insurance industry was having risen to Vice President of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng (IIG).
