With over 25 years of experience in banking and IT, he has managed enterprise programs in data platforms, regulatory reporting, and emerging technologies. His prior leadership roles at Piraeus Bank and Marfin Egnatia Bank focused on business intelligence, integration, and systems modernization.

Alongside his executive work, he is a Research Fellow at the University of Plymouth, where he earned a Ph.D. in metadata-driven Big Data. His academic research explores data governance, AI, and compliance—often rooted in industry practice.

Dr. Vranopoulos is known for bridging business needs with applied research to drive innovation in financial services.
